Left 4 Dead: Xbox 360

Where to begin with this one? It's a shooter, it's fast paced, and it's intense. Within this game there are four acts. They're kind of put together in a Grindhouse like cult film. You pick your character, and you start shooting. You can easily make it through the 4 acts on easy in a day. The real fun comes in playing this game with 3 other friends on the harder difficulties. You're going to die, a lot, but that's part of the fun.
One of the drawbacks I hear a lot is the length. However, the game has dubbed a new type of AI that changes the way the game plays each time (different enemy spawn points, weapon locations, etc..). This compensates for the lack of levels. Also, new DLC should be out which includes more co-op action!
The game also has a multiplayer mode which I found rather lame. You play as either the "Special Infected (besides your run-of-the-mill zombies, you have four types of super zombies), or the survivors and try to dole out as much damage as possible. It feels

Lips with 2 Microphones: Xbox 360
*NOTE: For those of you having connection issues:
YOU MUST UNPLUG ALL USB MICROPHONES BEFORE STARTING LIPS!

One of the better gifts I gave this Christmas was Lips, though I have to admit I was hesitant to buy it after reading a couple mediocre reviews from gamespot and kotaku. Most of the negativity seems to revolve around the music import tool, allowing you to import your own MP3's, WMA's and M4A's from a connected thumb drive, music player (haven't tried the iPod yet, sorry), and even through a wireless connected media center! It sounds like a good idea, but one reviewer pointed out "importing thousands of my own songs was...largely useless. You don't get lyrics..." Not so. Forget proper karaoke for a moment - if you love just singing along with your favorite tunes but lack a legitimate excuse to grab a mic and rock out, Lips offers exactly that. Matching the music's waveform earns you the same points and fills the mic-gesture-gauge just as though the song were part of the game. It's

CTA Digital WI-6K Grand Slam 6 in 1 Sports Pack - Nintendo Wii
+ 0 likes
(I HAD to rate this in order to post; it doesn't even deserve one star in my book.) I was thrilled to find this item on Amazon.com, and at such a good price, until we opened ot on Christmas morning. The plastic is cheap, the baseball bat wouldn't thread on correctly, and I almost broke the thing trying to get it off! I was afraid to try any other attachments. There is no opening in the wheel for the laser, so it can't be used, and the hole in the wheel for the wrist-strap is too small to fit the strap through. This package is a perfect example of "you get what you pay for". On the up-side, Amazon.com is willing to refund my money, including shipping, and even provided a return shipping labal, all with NO hassle!

Sony Playstation Portable PSP-3000 Core Pack system - Piano Black
+ 0 likes
PlayStation 3000. This is a nice machine, piano black and glossy. I just love that look. I also own a 1000. The new one has much faster load times and I have noticed much brighter colors and the screen is defiantly glare proof. Words cannot describe what you can get out of any of these products along with a PS3, but I will try. If you have a home network these systems can connect directly to your wireless router and your ps3. This might be techie or geeky but you can even play certain ps3 games on your Psp via remote play option, you can download and play ps1 games on the psp anywhere you want to. Get an 8 or 4 gig card for this thing and transfer anything from your PC to it, surf the internet, listen to music. The 2000 and the 3000 model can be hooked to a big screen, the list goes on.

Back to the 3000 itself. Faster load times, glare proof and much lighter, with big screen compatibility. I was worried about the scan line issue I read about in other reviews but not now it is very miner

Madden NFL 09 (En Espa?ol / Spanish Version): Xbox 360

The game itself was fine, but the game case had been crushed because it was packaged poorly. It looked as though the game were wrapped in brown paper bag material with no extra padding to protect it. Still, my son was happy to receive it for Christmas and I'll buy a case for it.

Microsoft Xbox 360 Pro Console System

I've been playing video games since the NES, and for a long time I had put off buying a next gen system, considering the PS2 to be the end of the road for me: The PS3s were WAY beyond my budget, the 360s had a huge failure rate, and I just might be the only person on the face of the earth who never enjoyed the Wii.
Finally after eyeing all the titles like The Orange Box, Bioshock, and FEAR that I had wanted to play for so long, I caved and bought a 360 Arcade in November. My original plan was to spend less, save on the warranty, and upgrade with an HDD later. DO NOT DO THIS. It ended up costing roughly the same as the current 60GB pro bundle (only about thirty less) and that was with a used 20GB HDD from the original bundles. While you could buy an arcade along with a 60 GB Pro upgrade kit later for a total of three hundred currently, you'll still want to upgrade your video cable to at least component, and might (if you don't already have extra) want an ethernet cable too. The Pro comes

Activision Guitar Hero World Tour - Guitar Kit for PlayStation 2

Here's what I did to fix the same problem on my PS2 (Slim model # SCPH-70012). This should work for all models of PS2's. (Slim or Fat). Sony says all models can read a dual layer disc. If the fix doens't work then you need to send in your PS2 for service.

1) Start up the PS2 with no disc in it.
2) Highlight the 'Browser' menu and press the 'green triangle' button.
3) Highlight the 'Console' menu and press the 'green triangle' button.
4) Highlight the 'Diagnostics' menu and press the 'blue X' button and select 'ON'.
5) Press the 'red O' button to back out of this menu.
6) Highlight the 'PlaystationDrive' menu and press the 'green triangle' button.
7) Highlight the 'Disc Speed' menu and press the 'blue X' button and select 'FAST'.
8) Press the 'red O' button to back out of this menu.
9) Turn off your PS2.

10) This step is optional.......I blew into the main unit to loosen any dust out of it and then carefully used my shirt to wipe across the lens at the back of the drive. I'm not sure

Daughter loved it, got in plenty of time for Christmas but she did say some of the songs in the advertisement aren't on the game. All in all great gift, kept her quiet for hours.

Shin Megami Tensei : Persona 4 - Playstation 2
+ 0 likes
I love this game. I have always loved Japanese games since they have very pretty art. I don't like games that are totally fighting styled because I think that is just boring.

There are so few English games that include social interactions of any kind (Except maybe the Sims series), which is just so sad!! A lot of Japanese games have it, which is why a lot of females play Japanese games. Too bad I don't understand Japanese. I think Persona 4 is sort of a game that even female can play (too bad the main character can only be a guy!) I really do hope more games like this come out!! I was so into the game!

Plus the game is hilarious, the story is intriguing too. Usually I stop playing a game after a few days but this one I actually played for much longer than normal!!! If there is a Persona 5, I will definitely buy it!
Actually I just brought Persona 3 FES. Kind of backward but after playing Persona 4, I want to collect this series!

We Cheer: Nintendo Wii
My granddaughter got this for Christmas ... we got here 3 days ago and haven't stopped the "competing". From 52 to 5 years of age ... we have all had a blast with this game! Husbands and wives are competing with each other with the husbands winning most of the time.

Holding the remotes, each hand must follow the colored (red and blue) arrows on the screen. In a bubble at the top of the screen, it will tell you how each hand is doing at following the motions. We haven't been able to "Pass" any of the levels yet mainly because we are having too much fun just competing against each other. You have different songs with various levels of difficulty and also beats per minutes (bpm) from slower to faster.

I will update more as we go.

Activision Guitar Hero World Tour - Guitar Kit for PlayStation 2

My 9 year old son received this as a Christmas present. It was the ONLY thing he wanted and the ONLY thing he had talked about for months. When we tried to set the game up for him all it did was freeze over and over again. After searching online, I am NOW aware that this is a common problem for PS2s and this game. Funny thing is, not all PS2s have issues, just some. We have a slim, newer one. My son is so disappointed. I never thought to check out to see if the game would work before buying it. I just assumed since it was made for PS2 then it would work for PS2. It should be illegal to sell something like this.

Animal Crossing: City Folk: Nintendo Wii
I've played Animal Crossing both on the DS and the Gamecube. I was REALLY looking forward to Animal Crossing City Folk.

I'll be honest, a lot of the reviews that say "it's more of the same", well, they're telling the truth. I love Animal Crossing; it's one of my favorite games. However, if you're expecting a ground breaking change, it's just not here. I didn't find the "city" to be a huge addition to the game, in general. Instead, the place where this game really shines is the wifi. Connecting with other people and visiting other towns is a total blast. I find the online experience to be much more enjoyable on the Wii than it was on the DS (I prefer a larger screen). I have Wii Speak, but I prefer using a USB keyboard when I have guests or when I visit other towns. It really is very enjoyable. Having a USB keyboard makes a world of a difference. Writing letters is no longer a painful chore.

Wii Speak is generally "okay" in my opinion. I'd prefer a headset. I don't necessarily think

Ferrari Challenge: Nintendo Wii

....but great fun. Requires a lot of patience at first, which definitely pays off in the long run. SO many ways to customize the vehicles' controls AND looks. Gotta love that Ferrari purr, too! Great driving game for 17 and up, wouldn't recommend it for anyone younger. Hard to find this one for the Wii, but Overstock came through in great form, thanks!!

I bought this thinking that it would be a good addition to Wee Fit. I was disappointed in it however. I personally found it to be more for very young children and boring for everyone else.

Goosebumps HorrorLand: Nintendo DS
This game is pretty fun. You don't neccessarily have to be a fan of the Goosebumps series to enjoy it. In order to advance in the levels in this game you must play mini games in order to earn "fright points" which unlock different areas, rides, and games. These games aren't exactly easy. But all the same, fun. It's an addictive game and really fun. Just be ready for a challenge!
