Description

AllProtection.mrc is an addons that has complete channel protection.
It protects your channels and 'you' from any kind of floods and spam.
This script is "translation" of AllProtection.tcl by Sir_Fz.

Features:

  • AllProtection.mrc has all kinds of channel flood protection, include BOTNET flood protection and private spam/flood protection.

  • Text floods
  • Notice floods
  • Repeat floods
  • Codes floods
  • Joins floods
  • Ctcps floods
  • Ads, badword/swearing
  • Mass kicks, mass bans, mass op, mass deop.
  • Channel Limiter
  • Flyby / Join part floods
  • Nicks floods
  • Bad nicks, bad idents
  • Bad username (infected client)
  • Part msg floods
  • Excess clones
  • Bad channels
  • Excessive channels
  • Excessive CAPS, shouting.
  • Blacklisted users.
  • Any kinds of BOTNET floods

  • Any kinds of PRIVATE floods and spam.

  • Supports multi network, multi channel, and each channel has its own setting.
  • Script contains only protection and some important stuffs. No fancy look. You have been warned :)

How to use:

  • Load this script to remote section ( alt+R then Ctrl+L, pick allprotection.mrc )
  • Edit your default settings if needed, then restart mIRC.
  • To protect your channel, use command : /+chan #yourchannel
  • To remove channel from protection : /-chan #yourchannel

Notes:

  • Tested on DALnet server.
  • Worked with mIRC 6.35 - 7.27
  • Not tested with mIRC version above 7.27, and older than 6.35. Try with your luck :)

Thank you so much for your efforts,
I've been checking it around,
but I'm not sure why it didn't work on a certain network and i've received this message on the status: CAP Unknown command.
and the script didn't load,
irc network was: Zildjan.mine.nu:6667
i'm not sure if the problem from the script itself.
on the other hand, how can I disable the locked channel notice? every I delete it from MISC settings and click on update, it comes back again. how can I disable it completely?

to disable locked channel notice msg completely, you can edit line 90.

I am not sure if it's possible for such request, but I was heavily testing the script on a clean irc copy in order to check its full potentials, I tried it with around 60 bots with join / msg / notice flood at once, it had a severe lagging and mirc got frozen for some time, after the test channel was flooded, the mods were triggered, but didn't even have the chance to kick any bot, since they parted before that.
so I was wondering if it's possible to get the 3 script protection parts separated from each others to use, against the mass join, against the notice flood, and against the message flood?

Not to be shooting down balloons, but 'X violations in Y seconds' is a very bad approach to flood protection. Caps, color codes, etc are minor annoyances and can't be considered a flood. I guess you changed chanserv setting (line 537-544) in the script? Just leave it as it is.

If you didnt change it, then you need to provide more useful info how i can reproduce that. There is no routine in the script that will deop yourself.

Did you install any scripts that may interfere with AP (allprotection) ?
Try to load AP in new fresh mIRC and see if that happens again.

Also did you test this by yourself using 2 mIRC client with AP installed?
In other word, you were banning your other self ?

To be honest, the log don't help much. I can not reproduce the problem.
Maybe you need to explain step by step what you do, until you get deoped.
How many client you use? Is there other script loaded beside AP? Is there any scripts.log from AP? etc.
