Neat, but it really baffles me why people do this since it can't support PHP, Perl, Python etc.

I like using Net::IRC for Perl IRC bots, but this works as well. Never looked into use Socket, but good job on providing some variety around here. :)

Kinda made me laugh that you have to justify you didn't rip it. I think you're guilty of something.

^Neptune commented on a Snippet, Simple Authentication + "Last Visited"  -  Dec 09, 2009
I really, really like this. It includes simple comments throughout the code so I can understand it perfectly, and as a set of functions this is very easy to incorporate into any script.

Now all we need is a register_user() methinks. :P

By the way, this apparently undocumented isowner does not in fact exist. Or even if it does, it doesn't work.
Code

On a channel I have owner status always returns n.

Yeah, if anyone can create a working way for findtok, reptok and wildtok, please post! I also thought of regtok (regular expression token match), but i'm not great with regex so that could be cool too!

A fully customisable xstatusbar in DCX is one of the most annoying things to make ever. Good job.

Don't worry! The ping works absolutely fine. :)

I found out it was max_execution_time in my php.ini that was causing it to stop after 60 seconds. This works fine. :D

Of course this won't work in mIRC, it's PHP. :|

Okay, i've got this connected to a server and modified it according to this snippet so I can easily make it respond to commands: http://www.hawkee.com/snippet/6223/

However, the ping does not seem to be working. Can anyone help me on this? Code: http://pastebin.com/m44c64848

Yeah, System.Console is unneeded. To go even further you can use "Imports System.Console" and simply use "WriteLine" and "ReadLine".

Actually there has been a surge of PHP recently that has piqued my interest.

You're not going to simply say "get off hawkee" because "90%" (don't we all love made up statistics) of the snippets are mIRC. I really don't care. In fact, I guess "90%" of hawkee is useless then.

But if you're going to start arrogantly commenting about snippets which really doesn't help the coder at all, then don't. Do you honestly think removing two characters from a code is going to make it all that more fantastic?

You're just a 12 year old kid who thinks he is a god at coding in mIRC when it's even simpler than HTML. Go and learn a true language and then maybe i'll even considering giving you some respect after all the negative comments you give everyone, maybe by then you'll have developed the thing known as common sense to actually be polite and constructive of other people's work.

Nice little script. The display kinda reminds me of an XLST'd XML file.

Anyways, take a peek at scandir(), I think it might make the code a little simpler and faster to process: http://php.net/manual/en/function.scandir.php

Hope I helped
