regarding the extensions: until i think 2000 (dont quote me on that), windows required file extensions to be 3 characters. due to that restriction, most filetypes still have only 3 characters, but it can be more or less. Thus, html standards say that and html document can be either .html OR .htm :P
mmkay, so i added triggers in case this is being used by a bot (feel free to edit that part however u want to make it more secure or whatever, its just so bot owners can do spying remotely). I also fixed a spelling error that was messing up the first alias.
Just load this into mIRC's remotes scripts. When a ban is set that matches your nick!user@host, it will unban you and kick whoever it was that banned you.
and in response to DaNzO, the whole point is that no one outside of %spyreport will know that its spying. Also, making the channel secret or invite-only would stop any unwanted users.
Ok, i added a if statement to check if its already spying. I also added /unspy.
In response to LucSatise\'s 3rd statement, Yes, rawmode does cover bans, but i have another if inside of rawmode to ignore mode +/-b and then i have a \'on ban\' to add a bit more functionality to the script.
This is a pretty simple mIRC script that sits in a channel and copies everything that happens into another channel. This is useful for having a bot spy on a channel that you do not want to/cannot join. I have also used it for moderating purposes.
the only thing about what mushufasa said about \'set %inviteuser $2\' is that u also need to have a \'timer 1 1 unset %inviteuser\' so that it wont say that whenever that person joins the channel
i think it might work a little better if u could stretch it out a bit into more lines so people can edit it easier to fit their specific needs. just a thought. i sometimes have trouble seeing the overall script when its like this and im just an amateur scripter anyways
i only found one major error: in the core2 script, u forgot the $nick in the master help notice, so it tries to notice hello, instead of its master. other than that, great script. And its easy to modify the features to suit personal needs. Very user friendly to the novice scripter (like myself)
It would be nice if u updated the script so it worked with a more recent version of mirc. The current compatibility is extremely old and mirc has a totally diff look/set of options/commands. other than that, seems to work ok
